You guys are seriously pissing me off

Ok, so 3.1 hit yesterday and like WTF! Seriously. Well, not all bad I should say. Free respecs all around, new glyphs, and a few buffs here and there. Anyway, to the point of being pissed off. WTH is going on with cooking? I can no longer do dailies? WTF. I'm hoping it's a bug because I can't find anything in the patch notes.

Anyway, 3.1 a side for now, just dinged 77 on Kaz. Now means that once I get CWF, the last zones are open for me to explore. Only another 700 G to go.

And on a last note, cooking daily seems to be fixed. Don't know if it needed to reset or what, but it works now.

Outage coming to Blogger in the next 10 min, so heres the post for now. More evaluation of 3.1 coming later. So far, 3.1, not that great.

podcast, leveling, 3.1 and more

OK. So am going to try to renew my effort on my Wow blog, but instead of writing just about the characters (boring, even for me), I'm going to write about general events concerning wow and have the occasional character update when something sweet happens. Sound good? Great, so here we go.

First thing. I've broken down and got me an iPod. Only an 8G nano, but still good stuff. With that comes iTunes... and I've discovered the glories of podcasts. Now I need to tell you what you need to subscribe to for the Wow fixes!

1. The Instance. OMG this podcast is sweet. Average episode length is 1-1.5 hours (give or take 30 min) I am currently enjoying epidsode #140. Current discussion is Rumors of Blizzard getting in bed with Microsoft for the next MMO development. It would be cool to see a blizz game on a console, hopefully one that I can afford. Anyway, it's good stuff complete with website, twitter blogs and all sorts of good stuff. Check it out.

2. World of Warcast. Another fun webcast produced by "normal" people. Not hardcore wow players, people that play and level at fairly slow pace. Not quiet as slow as me, but it's all good. They also have a website, etc. Average epidsode lengeth is around 1.5 hours and actually has a female host (gasp!). Good stuff, I enjoy it.

3. BlizzCast: The Offical Blizzard Podcast. It's the blizz cast... it's from blizzard forum monitors and has Blizzard developers and leaders on it. It's good stuff. Episode 8 just came out. Episodes are around 30 min.

That's it for the WOW based podcast. Another one of interest is Machinma.com - Top Series. It's a video podcast that pretty sweet. I highly highly highly recomend the "Dude, Where's my mount?" episodes. ... well, the last one sucked (they even say not to watch it in the title) but the series is good. Other podcast you may be interested in include all of the G4 podcast (AOTS, Cheat, X-play, etc), The Gamespy debriefings, Giant Bombcast, Wired's Gaget lab. There's so many it's hard to list the rest.

Changing gears to Leveling in wow. Kaz has hit 76 and the IOP mod is now telling me that my gear is starting to suck lol. I need to run DTK (fun) Old Kingdom (haven't tried yet), Gun'Drak (seems to be popular) and I should be able to replace my chest, legs, and a few other items. I've got my 2h until 80 and I need to get a Titansteel destroyer (lame). I'm also looking at a crafted belt that should get me to 80. I found a quest that should give me a socketed neck that should get me to heroics. I'm also working my wyrmrest accord rep. Why rep grind? TO GET A FUCKING RED DRAGON MOUNT! The lore geek in me just leeked a few fluids lol. With Kaz, I've been leveling Nerjin (65). My bff (last time that reference will ever be used.. had to do it once) Jonboy (screen name and nickname) got back in to the game and has been leveling his warrior like mad. it's been fun questing with someone again, not to mention tanking while I heal lol. Shadow Priest + Tank = FTW! I just replaced my T1 epic belt with a green in BC. Not bad making it to 65 and that was my last epic to be replaced by a green. I really need to run him through instances to get some better gear, or it's going to be painful for a while. Oh well, just need to hit 68 and that will be 3 characters in northrend.

Speaking of Northrend, 3.1 is going to be out shortly. My thoughts on 3.1... FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!!! ok, I feel better. DK's are getting the nerf bat like no other. Not that they don't deserve it, but going from OP to UP in one patch sucks. Good news is, holy priest are getting a decent buff... to bad he's shadow lol. Ret Pallies will still be OP but the rest of the classes seem like nominal changes. Uldiar 10+25 man will be hitting. Supposed to be pretty hard... probably more content that I will never see. (just like 99% of BC)

Now for the more. Here's a mod update. Get questhelper now. It's sped up questing by 50-90% easy. It maps out a fairly effiecent path to all of the quest objectives and even includes FP's and Turn ins. It's good stuff.

Alright, I think that's it for the night. Watch out for stuff from Blizzard, there's more news and fun stuff to talk about, I'm just too tired to get to the rest tonight.

Lunar Festival

So it's time for the Lunar Festival in Azeroth. It's a really cool festival all focused around "honoring the elders." The big theme is to go from zone to zone and find the elders and gain these festival coins. There are achievements for so many coins collected (1, 5, 10, 25, and 50) and for finding all of the elders in each region (Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Northrend and various Dungeons). The only crappy part about it is, that in order to gain the festival meta achievement, you need to be 80 to run a herioc dungeon to find 1 elder that is a special area. So I'm going to be like 2 meta achievements short this year. Oh well, there's always finishing it next year. Over all it's pretty cool.. except for getting ganked trying to do "Elune's Blessing" quest.. got ganked trying to fight "Omen"

Welcome, KazkahThraze

So, I now have a Death Knight. I pulled the name from the wow wiki. Roughly means "Death Totem Blade"... pretty fitting for a troll. Now of course, at level 58, I have him picking pretty flowers. He's herbalism/inscription professions. So far, the DK is a fun. It's kind of like a lock tank. Once I get his professions up to 300, it's off to outland and leveling him.

Fortress of Solitude

So I'm watching "Superman Returns" and I just watched the part where Superman returns to his fortress. I realize that I want a fortess of solitude, but not like in the arctic or someplace remote. I want a "man cave" type place to call my own to go when I'm feeling blue, need guidance, or time to reflect. Like a room in the basement (but I live in an apartment so boo). Someplace where the decorations don't have to match, it's just a place where everything that brings me memories can be out. Where I can go to reflect on my life and the people that matter. I realize that over the last few years, I haven't been doing this as much. It may be the part of the reason why I haven't been so depressed in recent years (the other part being an amazing woman that I have shared this time with). I don't have time to reflect on my screw ups and mistakes like I have in the past which means that I haven't been feeling blue about them, but it also means that I can figure out how to fix things and set a better direction for my life. Right now I just want a place to go that is my own. A place where I can watch tv or just sit and think or read or pray or what ever I need to do. I guess in a way, I'm getting that here soon. Looking for my own apartment has really opened my eyes as to how much I need alone time but also how much that time makes me appreciate the people in my life. Hopefully in the coming months, the synergy of living on my own (well, with my son too) combined with a little extra time will help me stregthen the relationships that I have, rekindle ones that have been lost, can help me recenter my life. It's amazing how much reflecting on your past can make for a clearer future. It's a shame that it took a long time for me to remember that. Well, even Superman forgets things, so I guess I'm in good company at least.

Arbul - 375 Tailoring

So, I haven't posted much lately, mostly because I haven't been able to play much. The big news now is that Arbul is 375 tailoring. Now the big thing to farm for is 20 slot bags, 3/3 FSW set and whatever else I can come up with.
